Giclee {pronounced "zhee-clay" French word meaning "to spray"} is a revolutionary printing process using “state of the art” large format ink-jet technology and a digital source to create the highest Museum quality Fine Art prints available today. Whether on paper or canvas, these archival reproductions have all the resolution, nuances and tonalities of the original work of art.
Our Giclees are very special because:
- They are the same size as the original paintings, creating a majestic focal point. Some of them are offered in a smaller size as well.
- Each canvas Giclee is individually and generously hand embellished by Artist Karen King so no two are exactly alike. Each one becomes an original in its own way.
- The canvas editions are kept very limited, no more than 45 in these sizes. This rarity makes them even more valuable.
- All our Giclees are created with the highest Museum quality archival inks and materials available so they may be enjoyed for generations to come.
- Each Giclee allows for a wide gallery wrap which means that it may be hung as a beautifully finished piece when stretched on 1 ½ inch bars with-out framing.
- We are now offering smaller very affordable open edition artist signed prints on paper. They are printed on the finest hand torn deckle edge archival paper with a 2 inch white border allowing them to be floated within a frame or matted and framed according to taste. They are created with the same archival inks as the larger reproductions for generations of joy.
- Need custom sizing?
These horses are truly magnificent. If they weren’t we wouldn’t let them out the door. You will be very impressed and so will your family and friends.
Your Giclee on Canvas will be shipped to you rolled up in a protective shipping tube. This is the safest way to transport these works of art. You will need to take if to a professional framer for stretching. Each Giclee allows for a “Museum Gallery Wrap”. This means that if you have it stretched on 1-½ inch stretcher bars it will have a beautifully finished look with out framing and will be ready to hang. If you would like to have it framed, your framer may want to stretch it on ¾ inch stretcher bars to better fit the frame. Feel free to browse our website for framing ideas. The silvery white horses are stunning in brushed silver or stainless steel. Some of the paintings lend themselves to more ornate framing while others may go the rustic route. An experienced framer can help you choose and customize the perfect frame for your new masterpiece.
